The afternoon I stopped believing in the syringe

For most of my career, I did exactly what the industry trained me to do. A woman would point to a line, and I'd treat the line. She'd point to a fold, and I'd fill the fold. She'd leave looking treated. Technically, everything was correct.

And a few months later, she'd be back — needing the same thing again.

One afternoon I watched a patient study herself in my mirror after a flawless treatment. And a thought arrived that I couldn't shake:

I'd been trained to correct faces. I had never been asked to make anyone well. So I went back to the medicine. Twenty-five years as a Physician Associate. A Doctor of Medical Science. Forty-plus certifications. And I started asking a different question — not "what does this face need corrected?" but "why is this skin aging in the first place?"

The answer changed everything I do. The face is not the problem. The face is the report. It's downstream of your collagen, your circulation, your hormones, your inflammation, the cellular renewal that used to happen like clockwork and quietly slowed down. Chase the report, and you'll be chasing it forever. Restore what the report is measuring, and the skin begins to tell a different story on its own.

That's when I stopped offering procedures. It's not a procedure. It's a journey. I don't offer one and done — I offer journeys.
